We Take Our Time

Most people don’t need to be pushed or analyzed.

They need a steady place to land.

A place where their story isn’t too heavy or too complicated.

Here, you don’t have to perform.

You can show up as you are.

We move slowly.

We tell the truth.

We build stability gently.

Meet Mark A. Awanyai Jr., PMHNP-BC

I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes in a slow, steady approach to healing.

Not everything needs to be analyzed. Not all pain needs immediate fixing. Sometimes, the first step is having someone sit with you just as you are.

I work with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, identity loss, and the quiet sense that life has become too heavy to carry alone.

My role is not to tell you who to be—it is to guide you while you find your own pace, language, and direction.

You don’t have to be “on” here.

You don’t have to hold everything together.

We can take our time.

Together.

For men who have been taught to be silent: there is room for your voice here too.

Strength and honesty can coexist.

Reach out

If you're curious, uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply tired — it's okay to start with a conversation. There is no pressure to commit to anything. Sometimes the first step is just speaking your truth out loud to someone who can hold it with you. You can send a message, ask a question, or share what has been heavy. You don’t have to carry it alone.

This is not an emergency resource. If you are in crisis, call 988 or your local emergency services.
